A tree with a bench, close to the Ahorn Alp in Emmen Valley. The sky was darkened with Nikon Capture NX because I forgot my polarization filter. — Nikon D200, Nikkor AF-S VR Micro 105mm 1:2.8, Ahornalp, 19 May 2007

Fig. 5:
Why do we carry up the mountain bikes to the Morgete Pass and mostly around Mount Gantrisch? Only short parts on this rocky small path were suitable for biking. :-)

Fig. 6:
That steep, narrow and rocky mountain path is nothing for me for biking. What am I doing here? :-)

Fig. 7:
Well earned view after pulling and carrying a mountain bicke 400 meters altitude difference. Standing on Morgete Pass (1959 m above sea level) and looking dow the Simmen Valley. The mountain in the foreground must be the Flörsch. The chalet on the lower right corner belongs to

View from Schibespitz (2060 m above sea level) down to Morgete Pass. Even the cows were surprised. The have never seen people carrying a bike here.

Fig. 9:
View from Schibespitz (2060 m above sea level) towards Mount Gantrisch (2175 m above sea level), Nünenflue (2102 m above sea level) and Chrummfadeflue with Gustispitz (2074 m above sea level). The mountain with the pointy summit on the far right side must be the Stockhorn (2190 m above sea level). It's a panorama mosaic created with the iPhone App AutoStich. Okay, the image quality is very poor.

This is the place where Sherlock Holmes had his fight with Dr. Moriarty. The old funicular and the water falls are very pretty. Once you have walked up all way you can rent a monster scooter to get down again instead of using the funicular. I didn't have my camera and tripod with me. A long exposure of the water would be ideal here.

Sun, clouds and mist create a wonderful colorful sunset on Ahornalp in Emmental. The shadow recovery of the Nikon D850 is just awesome. All the trees were just pitch black before pushing the shadows in Lightroom.
