Hector's Dolphin
Fig. 150: A Hector's Dolphin off the coast of Kaikoura. This species is one of the smallest dolphins and only lives off the coast of New Zealand and is critically endangered. A female only gives birth to a young about every 8 years. The main cause of the extinction are fishermen, as the animals get caught in the nets and drown.
