Black Frogfish
Fig. 100: The black frogfish is usually not very photogenic and mostly appears as a black, structureless blob on pictures. One needs a strong flash and light it from the side to see the structure of its skin, which is all covered with little knobs. This technique is also used inside of optical instruments to reduce stray light. Here one can see its fishing rod which is between the eyes and mouth.
