Verzasca
The Verzasca is a wild river in the canton Ticino and known for its beautiful rocks under water. There are several pools with a depth of up to 10m where one can dive when the current permits. At the entry points there are usually dangerous rapids and one has to use a rope spanned across the river for safety. Sometimes the local police will control it. Diving in the water reservoir is not permitted. With the Webcam Lavertezzo one can check the water level. If there's too much water the current is too strong and diving not possible. There happened some casualties with divers and swimmers in the past.
